Data Sets

Overview

Our data sets contain results from six classic ERP experiments. Use these data to explore classic ERP components and test authentic research questions. To access these materials, please submit a request.

Sample Data Sets

These sample datasets allow students to test hypotheses without having to collect EEG data. Raw EEG files and averaged data files from 20 participants are provided for each of four ERP components (N400, P3, N2pc, and MMN). Additionally, a variety of individual difference measures are provided for correlational analyses. Data are curated so that questions can be asked that result in significant positive or negative correlations between individual difference measures and ERP components in addition to non-significant findings.

Full Database

Our large database (~300 participants) enables students without access to EEG/ERP equipment to formulate and test authentic research questions. It includes EEG/ERP data from 6 tasks (face perception/N170, visual oddball/P3, flanker/ERN/LRP, passive auditory oddball/MMN, word-pair judgement/N400; visual attention/N2pc, Kappenman et al., 2021) plus clinically-relevant, cognitive processing, and demographic individual difference variables.
